_Pitch
A large LED-sign is displaying AI-generated rave key phrases, based on the hopes and wishes expressed around dancefloors, morphing between different visions and ideas. Visually, the generated texts are condensing and dissolving on a large LED screen, composed and fragmented by glitches of seemingly corrupted data.
The installation is producing rave slogans from a collective memory. Artificial Intelligence was trained on a database of rave aphorisms and truisms, mottos of rave-parades, parties, sociocultural reflections and track titles – which are then combined with spontaneous thoughts of visitors, which they can contribute via a web interface.
The generated texts reflect the philosophy and stance of these unique events, expressing naive platitudes but also bold, righteous and ambitious visions for a united, egalitarian, inclusive and peaceful future of our society.
_Operating principle
The installation is generating rave key phrases with an RNN (Recurrent neural network), trained on a historical database and regularly retrained on audience inputs.
